The magnificent seven will arrive tomorrow to turn the heaps of material to marvellous pieces of work. Have a look at some pictures from the preparations.
The first tomorrow's project will require us to cut lots and lots of material.
Scrap plywood, which we got for free thanks to the generosity of the management of Jaf Holz Slovakia sro in Špačince, had to be cut to strips and the pine wood to square and rectangular blocks. Planks that got from one of the parents were perfectly suited for that. Thank you Peter.
250 plywood strips and 400 pine blocks in total. I's far from Gever's heap of 2000 of each, but I'm sure we will be able to build something out of it tomorrow.
Wood, wood and wood again – long, short, thick, thin …
In addition to the wood there is all kinds of other material prepared for the adept tinkerers in the attic lot of other material. And some more wood, just in case.
Wheels - those are always handy. A go-cart? A rickshaw? A tricycle? A transformer? We have yet to see what what will we use them for.
Although these fellows have finished their active duty, I bet they are hiding many marvels under their plastic covers. Please get the operating theatre ready.
Not only electronics can be deconstructed. A valve like this is basically a 3D puzze.
And an alarm clock? How many cogwheels it takes for the hands to show time?
Dear duck, dear ducklings, enjoy your last moments of peace and quiet. As of tomorrow you will be sharing the yard with seven tinkerers. Prepare mentally for that.
